Preheat oven to 350 degrees F and spray a 9x13 baking dish with non-stick cooking spray. In the bowl of an electric mixer, or in a large mixing bowl, add cake mix, eggs, sour cream, milk, apple pie spice, and vanilla bean paste.
Mix on medium speed for 2 minutes either in your stand mixer or using a hand held mixer. Add the batter to the prepared pan. Top the batter with the apple fruit filling. Making sure to evenly distribute the fruit filling over the top of the batter.
Add to the preheated oven and bake for about 40 minutes or until the cake is fully cooked and set. Top with optional glaze
Optional glaze for recipe is 1 cup powdered sugar to 2 tablespoons heavy cream. Additional spices or flavorings can be added for additional flavor.
