  1. Step 1
    Preheat oven to 350°F.

  2. Step 2
    Stir together 1 1/2-cups cake mix, 2/3-cup water and eggs. Spoon into a greased 13 X 9-inch baking pan. Top with pie filling.

    Cut butter into remaining cake mix. Mix until crumbly. Sprinkle over pie filling.

  4. Step 4
    Bake for 25-30 minutes. Cool in pan on a wire rack.

  5. Step 5
    Combine powdered sugar and 1-Tablespoon water. Drizzle over cake.

    Love this! Since cake mixes seem to have changed to 15.25 Oz, can you update the recipe?

    Are you certain you have this recipe published correctly? Ingredient missing? Pan size wrong? Dessert is too thin, still undercooked after adding 10 minutes, and topping weird and crumbly. Looks nothing like the photo.
    Sad that I wasted a can of cherries on this.
