  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 3 Tablespoons milk

Directions

  1. Step 1
In a large mixing bowl, beat butter and sugar until creamy. Add in eggs one at a time, beating after each addition. Add in flour, cinnamon, salt, baking powder and spices.

  2. Step 2
In a large 15 X 10 inch baking sheet (with 1 inch sides or more), spread 2/3 of the batter in bottom of the pan. Top with 2 cans of fruit filling, spreading evenly. Drop remaining batter in teaspoons on top of the fruit filling.

  3. Step 3
Bake in 350 degree oven for 33-37 minutes, until done. Allow to cool slightly before applying glaze.

  4. Step 4
For glaze, whisk together the powdered sugar, cinnamon and milk until desired consistency. Drizzle onto warm pie bars.

  5. Step 5
Bars are delicious served with vanilla bean ice cream! Store remaining bars in refrigerator.

  3. Michelle Kemp-Jerner says:

I made this recipe last month. It was absolutely delicious. It is a great way to get pie consistency without making an actual pie crust. I bought a can of Lucky Leaf Apple Carmel filing when I bought the peach filing. I like this recipe so much, I am going to try it with the Apple filing as well. 5 stars
