  1. Step 1
    Preheat oven to 425°F. Place one pie crust in a pie dish.

  2. Step 2
    Combine spices with LUCKY LEAF Apple Fruit Filling. Pour apple mixture into crust.

  3. Step 3
    Melt caramels and milk in microwave-safe bowl for about a minute, stirring twice. Pour melted caramels over the Apple Fruit Filling.

  4. Step 4
    If adding pecans, place pecans on top. Cover with the second crust. Vent crust for baking.

  5. Step 5
    If desired, brush top of pie crust with a beaten egg and sprinkle lightly with sugar. Bake for 45 minutes.

    This recipe was great made it today for the first time ever. I made some tweaks only because I was out of an ingredient or whatever.. but my tweaks were instead of 2 cans of apple mix I used 4 large fresh apple Macintosh and those spi apples. Also I added about 2 tbsp of brown sugar 1/2 tsp of nutmeg and cloves and 1 tsp of cinnamon. Also Instead of 12 caramels I put 20. It didn’t seem like enough but hey I love caramel lol. I made the crust into a lattice design to help vent the pie and Also last but not least i cooked the pie at 425 for about 20 minutes or so then I brought the temp down to 375 I was just nervous the crust would burn worked out great I will be using this recipe from now on. !!!
