Ingredients

Blueberry Pie

Pecan Crumble Topping

  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1/3 cup + 1 Tbsp. cold butter
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • pinch of salt
  • 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 cup roughly chopped roasted pecans

Directions

  1. Step 1
Preheat oven at 400 degrees F. Prepare your pie crust ready (store-bought pre-made ready or homemade) for a 9-inch pie pan and refrigerate pie crust until ready to fill with fruit filling.

  2. Step 2
In a medium bowl, mix together the flour, brown sugar, salt and cinnamon. Cut in cold butter using a pastry cutter into the flour/brown sugar mixture until coarse crumbs are formed. Stir in the chopped pecans; place mixture in refrigerator.

  3. Step 3
In a large bowl, mix together the blueberry fruit filling, cinnamon and vanilla. Pour pie filling into pie crust. Evenly spread the pecan crumble mixture over the pie filling. Place pie crust on lined baking sheet.

  4. Step 4
Bake 20 minutes and then cover loosely with foil and continue baking for 20 more minutes or until juices are bubbly and pecan crumble topping is golden brown and crisp. Cool slightly to serve warm. Serve with a dollop of whipped cream with some roasted pecans for a delicious holiday pie!
