Streusel Topping

  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 2 Tablespoons sugar
  • 1 1/2 Tablespoons butter, melted

Drizzle

  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 4 teaspoons milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla

Directions

  1. Step 1
    Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Lightly grease an 8 X 11 or 8 X 8 inch baking pan.

    Cream butter; add sugar and beat well.

  3. Step 3
    Beat in eggs one at a time.

  4. Step 4
    Add vanilla.

  5. Step 5
    Sift flour, baking powder and cinnamon together. Gradually stir into creamed butter and sugar.

    Spread 3/4 of dough in greased pan.

  7. Step 7
    Spread blueberry pie filling over dough.

  8. Step 8
    Spoon remaining dough over pie filling, spreading lightly. *Note: Not all pie filling will be covered.

    In separate small bowl, combine streusel ingredients and then sprinkle over top of bars.

  10. Step 10
    Bake at 375 degrees for 35-40 minutes.

  11. Step 11
    Cool for 15 minutes.

  12. Step 12
    In a small bowl, mix powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla until smooth; drizzle over bars.

    Absolutely perfect. Except next time I will double the recipe and use a 13×9 pan. I made this in the afternoon except for crumb topping and kept it in fridge. Took it out when we sat down to dinner to gets to room temp, then added streusel topping when I placed in oven after dinner. So we ate it fresh out of the oven and mg time was free.
